This was an on-again-off-again acoustic trio that occasionally played in and around Lafayette, Indiana in the late 80s (so this is approaching modern history!) At the time, George Harrison et al calling themselves The Traveling Wilburys were popular. All of us had had put in plenty of miles on the road and had no desire to do so again. Hence our tongue-in-cheek moniker The Statioinary Willburys.
