ROBERT'S LINKS PAGE
This page has links to some sites that I either visit, built, like, hate, derive amusement from, have some connection with, or for which putting a
link here just seemed like a good idea at the time. If links get outdated, well, I don't promise to fix them in a hurry.

| The Kokomo Bros |
Clear and positive evidence of my misspent youth. I designed and built the site with the on-line collaboration of my old bros Tim, Dan, Tom, and John. |
| The M. Unit Project |
My old Kokomo Bro, Dr. T.E. Moody, PhD (Pile-it-higher-n-Deeper??) Some evidence there of his misspent youth also, but lots of cool, highly original acoustic music and interestin' video from
a veteran musician and producer. One of the best musicians I have ever had the honor to work with. Check it out!
NEW: Tim has added a
blog. Check it out at: http://themunitproject.blogspot.com/. |
| Studio Hope Project |
Bro (non-Kokomo) David's music therapy foundation for kids and teens in need. Donations always welcome! |
| Lynn Hilton |
World-class Jazz pianist and singer from Chicago, and a good friend. I built the site. |
| Carrie Newcomer |
Songwriter's songwriter and a monster talent. Highly recommended! CDs on Amazon.
Audio Samples on Amazon (scroll to bottom).
Yours truly on Bass on track Birds on a Telephone Wire (once upon a time in another life!). |
| Susan Latimer |
Canadian singer-songwriter whose stuff I kind of like. Sister of one of my BHO friends. Hear audio samples on CD Baby. |
| Banjo Hangout |
The online community for banjo pickers. Yee-ha! My home page there. |
| Bishline Banjos |
How did I space out putting this link for so long? The all-Flash site of this Oklahoma based banjo builder is worth a visit even if you don't play banjo. Rob Bishline
builds beautiful banjos. I am nuts about my custom walnut Bishline Heirloom! See it on the Banjo Hangout site » |
| Prucha Bluegrass Instruments |
Czech builder of fine banjos and mandolins. Jaroslav Prucha was very personable when I visited his shop in Prague. Love to own one of his banjos too sometime. |
| Capek Bluegrass Instruments |
Another fine Czech builder of top-grade acoustic instruments. Had a chance to meet Rosta and play a few of his wonderful banjos at the
Banjo Jamboree at Strakonice, CZ a few years ago. Not as well known abroad as Prucha, but
worth checking out. |
| Rowe Music Parts |
Mike Rowe is a CAD-CAM designer who has directed his talent towards his passion for music, creating his own line of highly innovative accessory designs
for banjo and guitar. I whole-heartdly recommend his banjo and guitar straps!
|
| Kat Eyz Banjo Bridges |
If you're a banjo picker and you haven't tried one of Mike Smith's Kat Eyz bridges, you could be missing out on what your banjo could really sound like. The
Kat Eyz McCormick Spice Factory maple bridge transformed the sound of my old "beater" banjo – a '70s Stew-Mac aluminum pot kit banjo –
from a tinny, metallic whine into a mellow, folky, and unique tone. I wouldn't have thought just changing a bridge could do that. Mike also makes a highly
acclaimed capo for guitar and banjo, and sells his own line of custom-designed Kat-theme banjos. Yum yum.

good live music. (You need Flash Player to see this site.) |
| The St. Petersburg Times |
Mark Twain would have called it a mangy sheet with an agenda - a depressing read generally. Yeah, things are bad, but are they that bad?
Good fodder for visitors I suppose, and when you want to find out what's doing in town this weekend. Does a great job of getting the fireplace going. |

| Guardian Unlimited |
Commie-pinko-liberal rag that will surely burn in hell. I mean, major UK news site. |
| Moi Raion |
I know, I already plugged this in the St. Petersburg section, but since my better half is the chief editress, they get another plug here. |
| The Cleveland Public Library |
Where sister Ann keeps the software up and running with the able assistance of Rudy and Morris. |
| Project Gutenberg |
Free eBooks on line. Provided a lot of my reading matter in the early days of my residence in St. Petersburg. |

Super Tanzanian excursion outfitters. Kilimanjaro climbs, Serengeti photo safaris. My wife took a chance on them sight unseen after finding them on the internet. She had
a fabulous trip and was very pleased with the outfitters. |
| Lewis Black |
Who is this man and why is he so angry? (FAIR WARNING: steer clear if the "F" word offends your delicate sensibilities) |
| Fidelity Investments |
I don't know how we'd have managed without them. Highly recommended for US expats. You don't have to be rich to open an account. I should know. |
| Maison Le Jubeau |
Once upon a time it was mine. Best laid plans, rodents and men, and all that. It's still my basic site design last time I looked.
Well, life's a bitch and then you buy the farm. I guess I was premature. |
